The Y embarked on a full city block redevelopment and joined in the U Street Corridor's revitalization. APM assisted The Y in negotiating the land sale and development agreement and acted as their Owner’s Representative for the design, bidding, and construction of the interiors. As the result, The Y developed a state-of-the-art fitness facility and community center of 44,000 SF. Features provided in this three-level facility include a swimming pool, various exercise studios, and a 2-story indoor climbing wall. The facility also serves the community by providing a number of meeting rooms, daycare facilities, a demonstration kitchen, and a roof top terrace with an activities room.
