Arlington Partnership of Affordable Housing

Arlington Mill Residences and Parking Garage

In February 2011, the County Board approved an amendment to permit Arlington Partnership for Affordable Housing (APAH) to redevelop the northern portion for the Arlington Mill site with a new affordable housing project. The family-friendly $15 million building is a four-story, wood frame design featuring a community room and underground parking, adjacent to the Arlington Mill Community Center. The grounds offer ample green space and access to nearby Glencarlyn Park and the Four Mile Run Bike Trail. APM was the Construction Manager and also acted as the Owner’s Representative for the underground garage and podium developed by Arlington County, upon which the Arlington Mill Residences was built. The Arlington Mill Residences provide efficiencies, 1, 2, and 3-bedroom units and amenities. The units serve households with very low incomes and addresses a hard-to-meet need identified in the early phase of the Columbia Pike Land Use and Housing Study.

"It is good to know that we have someone like you [APM] watching over this process."
– Mr. David Perrow, Former Director or Real Estate Development, Arlington Partnership For Affordable Housing
