Capitol Hill Day School at Farrens Stable

Capitol Hill Day School’s middle school program expanded into a new facility two blocks north of their historic Dent Building into historic Farren’s Stable. The project consisted of the renovation of ~4,500 SF of 3rd floor space, a mezzanine, and loft levels with a new 3-story egress stair in a historic building. The modern classroom space has cork flooring, colorful palettes, and exposed systems. It also includes the replacement of ~130’ of 8” water main and fire hydrant, the installation of a new 4” fire service, sprinkler system, and associated site and street restoration.
"In every aspect, APM provided excellent and expert services. Its staff was thoughtful and thorough and consistently made sure that the School was fully aware of issues. Moreover, APM proactively identified issues and worked to have them resolved, it thought creatively about solutions, and it matched its preparedness with prompt and diligent follow-through."
