The Austrian Embassy Mechanical System Replacement project involved a full HVAC system replacement for the ~40,000 SF embassy. The design for the replacement was performed by Girard Engineering and involved the replacement of all AHU’s, VAV’s and associated ductwork, boilers, cooling tower and associated pumps. Ceilings and light fixtures were also replaced throughout the building. APM developed a 12-phase plan to allow the Embassy to remain open during the construction process. Personnel were temporarily relocated from each phase’s work areas to maintain full functionality of the Embassy during the renovations.
