Packard-Laird Hall (Welcome Center)

As part of the Virginia Theological Seminary Chapel program managed by APM, we also managed the design and construction of a new entry addition to the existing Welcome Center house in the historic Packard-Laird Hall. This entry addition was designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects, LLP to elevate the importance of this building’s entrance as the Welcome Center for visiting the campus. The classic brickwork and Georgian Architecture is designed to blend with the existing hall and complement the new Chapel that shares a new combined entry road and arrival court. The addition also houses new restroom facilities, elevator, and contemporary HVAC systems that was connected to the new Central Plant developed by APM for VTS in the winter of 2011.
